Aphotic Audio have done a wonderful thing in putting together a compilation to benefit those suffering due to the recent massive flooding in Queensland, Australia (and following cyclones) and allowed me the honor of being involved with them on it. Every artist involved, around 40 of them, myself included, and Aphotic Audio have all agreed to hand over every penny of profit collected directly to those in need, and all you have to do to get involved is buy some cool music. If you go here you can check out the compilation, called “Surge and Subside,” and click through the link to buy, or go here to buy directly. There is a limited edition 2 disc pressing available for only $20.00, postage paid, as well as the digital release available for only $10.00. You can also buy individual tracks for $1.00. My Facade (Empty mix) is track 21 for those who want to just buy the song.
Here is the official press release:
“Surge & Subside is a FUNDRAISER compilation album, which showcases over 40 Electronic and Industrial tracks, spanning a double-CD and digital download pack. All proceeds from this album will be sent to the flood victims in Queensland, Australia.
All songs have been generously contributed by Australian and international artists including Angelspit, Assemblage 23, Psyche, Dismantled, ANGELTHEORY, Empty, iammynewt and many more. Everyone involved has been eager to put their music towards helping the people whose lives have been devastated by the overwhelming disaster of the Queensland floods.
There are hundreds of thousands of people who have been affected, including our friend Ken Evans of the band Tycho Brahe, whose home was severely damaged.
We hope you enjoy listening and we thank you for supporting the cause!
Visit surgesubside.com for more information.”
It’s quite a deal and goes a long way to help many people in need. Please join us by buying some cool music and even donating more money directly to the cause through the Surge and Subside website if you are able. Thanks for getting involved, guys and gals; I know you’ll help us do some good.
Cheers,
Eric
